Short Bio
Dr. Kelly has worked in robotics and automation for approximately 15 years
in both industrial and academic settings. Some of the projects to which he has
contributed include:
a merchandizing robot for assisting and entertaining shoppers
several outdoor autonomous vehicles for terrestrial and space uses
projects to develop laser rangefinder hardware
a project to develop high speed stereo vision software
a project to develop inertial and satellite navigation systems for autonomous vehicles
a telerobot for the Space Shuttle
several others for nuclear power plants
a flexible manufacturing workcell for various cut-to-order sheet stock industries
