Situational Awareness via Colorized Ranging

This project is developing enhanced mechanisms to teleoperate robots based on revolutionary technology that allows us to virtualize the real world in real time. One application is vehicle teleoperation. In the fiigure, this exterior view of a remotely controlled vehicle is produced from the data generated by the sensors on the real robot. Driving the robot becomes similiar to driving a video game. Go here for more details.
