I started playing piano when I was five, but unfortunately after 5 years of academic education in Baku Academy of Music, we moved to Iran and I didn't have the chance to continue my piano lessons. Therefore, I started santur (an ancient stringed musical instrument native to Iran) when I was 12 years old. I have also played xylophone (a musical instrument in the percussion family that consists of wooden bars struck by mallets) since when I was 8.
Since 6, sometimes I compose small pieces of music, but usually I don't have much time to merge them as a long piece. I'm sure I will get a music award sometime ;-)
