Chris Urmson earned his B.Sc. in computer engineering at the University of Manitoba in 1998. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in robotics under William "Red" Whittaker. During his undergraduate education he developed high-speed network analysis software for TRLabs. Other projects completed while at TRLabs included the development of a fractal based video compression system and patented work developing a protocol for use over pager networks. He is also experienced in C++, Java, Matlab and various other computer languages. Chris is the software and electrical lead for the Skyworker Robot.
